RESPITE/DAY HAB DIRECTOR OPENING – FULL TIME POSITION

Brooklyn-based non-profit organization seeks an Educational Director for a Day Hab program for post high-school developmentally delayed women.  Candidate/applicant should be an energetic, creative and confident self-starter, who can interface with both parents and students.

Responsibilities:

• Creating educational, recreational and vocational curricula
• Hiring and managing instructional staff
• Managing the program’s daily service
• Recruiting students
• Acting as liaison with parents

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Experience, at least 2 years, in community outreach and development, specifically in an OPWDD or similar program
• Knowledge of the educational needs of developmentally disabled adults
• BA/MA a plus
• Yiddish speaking a plus
• Applicant must genuinely care about the developmentally delayed population
• Salary commensurate with experience
