After months of rest from the daily reports of deaths in the Chabad community due to Covid-19 infections, Lubavitchers around the world were alarmed when 5 deaths were reported within 24 hours.
Mrs. Rivkah Chefer, whose uncle was the Rashag and merited a close connection with the Rebbe and Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka, passed away on Sunday. Her late husband founded the Beit Rivkah College in Kfar Chabad. Read more

R’ Yosef Chaim Shlomo Meyerson, a member of the Chabad community in Neve Yaakov, Jerusalem, Israel, passed away on Shabbos, at the age of 45 after complications due to coronavirus. Read more
R’ Yaakov Zalof, a chossid who was active at the Chabad center in South Netanya, passed away at the age of 48. He left behind a wife and 4 children.
Mrs. Sheina Sylvia Goon, an only child of Holocaust survivors who raised a family and was charitable with an open home in Toronto and Beitar Illit, passed away.
These passing have alarmed Rabbi Yitzchok Yehuda Yaroslavsky, the chairman of Beis Din Rabbonei Chabad in Israel, the most senior rabbinical body of Chabad in the Holy Land. Rabbi Yaroslavsky, who himself recovered after contracting the virus, leads the Chabad community in Kiryat Malachi.

“There have been several calamities where people passed away because they weren’t vaccinated,” he said in an urgent video message in Hebrew on Sunday.
“This is (a situation of) pikuach nefesh,” he said. “You must go and get vaccinated so that there will be no one who does not get vaccinated. I call on the rabbis of the communities to make sure that everyone in the community goes to get vaccinated.”
Israel is the first country pushing for citizens to take a booster shot that follows the first 2 vaccine doses.
This past summer, Israel launched an aggressive booster campaign to shore up waning vaccine efficacy in its population, the AP reported.
Over 60% of Israel’s population has received two doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine and nearly 3.5 million of Israel’s 9.3 million citizens have received a booster dose of the vaccine, AP said.

Monoclonal works 3 days after symptoms. Some people will, some not. The point is to stop the spread which makes every sick make many others.

People in israel are told to stay home and are given oxygen at home. Only if they are very bad do they get admitted to the hospital. If they are put on a ventilator they dont usually survive. Hospitals were overwhelmed and people are safer being treated at home. Medical staff were forced to take the vaccine to keep their jobs so many quit leaving hospitals short staffed, and leaving hospitals using not well trained people. Regeron has only become available in the last few days in israel. More to the point is why werent they given ivermectin, quercetin, vit D, and zinc
I’ll answer as a speculation since I don’t know each case. Regeneron only works when given in the first few days of diagnosed covid. It’s targeted for people who get diagnosed with COVID and have other factors that could possibly lead them to a severe case of COVID. If these patients who had COVID stayed home the first few days and only presented when very sick (this is speculation) they would not receive regeneron as it would not be appropriate and it wouldn’t do anything. They might get something like Remsvidir.
My children were treated (in USA) with Regeneron monoclonal antibodies; one after 10 days of high fever & other serious symptoms (the day after diagnosis), the other was treated at the same time with Regeneron on the second day of symptoms. Two days after treatment, they were B”H both almost back to normal.
Your children where probably at low risk and would have been fine anyways

But the vaccines for those have been around for a long time, with few or no side effects. And they were for diseases with much higher death rates than 0.2%.
Also, let it not be forgotten that when the vaccines were announced last fall, prominent Democrats were saying that it’s bad and dangerous and so forth. There’s good reason, therefore, to be wary of the sudden 180-degree swing towards not only promoting but mandating (and threatening consequences for not taking) it.

I am right wing and appalled by the anti vax stance of many conservatives. You don’t have to toe the party line on every single issue just because they sat so. They were wrong when they said this virus was like the flu and most are wrong on vaccines.
They were not wrong. If treated correctly it is just like the flu. I know this from personal experience of a number of family members. Whilst other members took the vaccines like it’s one of the Ten Commandments and came down with the virus after.
I said they were wrong. And it so happens my father died of the virus despite treatment. It is not like the flu but hopefully one day it will be.

Data has been showing regeneron should be given within the first 5 days of experiencing symptoms. Elderly or compromised people should therefore get the infusion right after experiencing symptoms even if the symptoms are not severe. Is access east in Israel? Do people know about this? There should be a very efficient system making it easily available as soon as a doctor suspects covid.
Regeneron is not readily available, especially not in Israel at this time, it is also an expensive treatment and needs to be started early for it to work.
In any case, avoiding an infection is always preferable to getting infected and then trying to treat it.
You can like Trump and still be pro vax. A lot of hard right people in the community don’t get that this is not a political issue. Vaccines are saving the world. There may be risks, but the risk of Covid fatality is KNOWN (my father died from it and no, not from anything else like treatment or lack thereof). That said, people who have the best kind of immunity drop having had Covid should not be forced to vaccinate because in that case the risk doesn’t balance out.

A father of 12, 43 years old, died a couple of days ago from Corona in Jerusalem. He was never vaccinated. This epitome of stupidity, shortsightedness and arrogance has left his family without a father. And now we’ll see multiple appeals to support them. It’s an avoidable tragedy.
Dying of Corona obviously looked like a better option than getting a couple of jabs. But from my own personal experience, getting vaxed then getting Corona is nothing worse than having a mild cold. It’s certainly better than being dead.

Doctors make a crime and a violation of the Hippocratic Oath by refusing to treat covid patients, though there are very effective, cheap, and safe treatments, like ivermectin and the Zelenko protocol. Why are hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin banned? It is a crime against humanity.

There are plenty of cases reported, including 1 of the above, that the family claims was vaccinated and died anyway. Many neglect the findings of a study with over 250k covid patients that showed that the vaccinated are 7x more likely to contract the virus than those with antibodies. 1.If 100 % of the people are unvaccinated and 50 people get Covid 100 % of the ppl who got covid were unvaccinated . Yet….
2. If 80% of the people are vaccinated and now if even only 10 people get Covid ( 40 less than before , it got better) but it’s also possible that of those 10 ppl who are coming from the majority ( from the 80%) 7 were breakthrough cases so statistics would say that 70% of cases are from vaccinated people . Even though the total number of ppl getting COVID was now reduced .
