Mendel E., celebrating his Bar Mitzvah while New York City remains isolated due to the coronavirus pandemic, was treated to a special Drive-By celebration on Monday.
Family and friends got to drive through a parking lot in Brooklyn and wished mazel tov and blessings to the 13-year-old boy from Crown Heights.
Jewish singer Benny Friedman was on hand to live the joyous event.
The Bar Mitzvah was arranged with the help of Deputy Chief Charles Scholl of Patrol Borough Brooklyn South and Lieutenant, NYPD 60th Precinct, Ira Jablonsky of the NYPD and Flatbush Shomrim. In attendance was NYPD clergy liaison David Heskiel.
