The American Dream Mall is a national sensation. Open for a few months and it has already broken records with the opening of the Nickelodeon Universe, The Rink and Big Snow attractions.
Last Sunday, Chabad of New Jersey hosted a historic Chanukah Party at American Dream.
Over two thousand visitors enjoyed delicious donuts, Chanukah themed face painting, cotton candy, popcorn, live music and crafts. Over a thousand dreidels were spun in the dreidel challenge. The highlight of the event was when all guests gathered around the giant hockey stick menorah, on loan from Rabbi Zalman Grossbaum of Friendship Circle in Livingston, NJ.
Baruch Ghermezian, representing the Ghermezian family, was emotional as he welcomed the smiling crowd and thanked Rabbi Yitzchok Lerman and his wife Bina of Chabad of The Meadowlands for arranging the event together with Eli Berkowitz of American Dream.
Rabbi Yitzchok Lerman followed with words of encouragement, echoing the Rebbe’s message of Jewish pride and unity. Rabbi Lerman then lit all eight branches of the menorah, celebrating Zos Chanukah.
