Plant Operations/General Manager (Job #812)
Location: New Jersey (Teaneck area)
Job Type: Full Time

Salary: $150,000-$200,000/ year

A successful Flexo-Packaging Manufacturing company is looking to hire an experienced COO/ General Manager to oversee the plant’s operations. Great opportunity for the right candidate!

DUTIES:
• Provide overall leadership for the plant as a head of the site management team (200+ employees), setting an example for the workers, leading the management team, setting the business priorities, providing direction, settling disputes and encouraging teamwork and plant operational performance.
• Manage plant operations to deliver operating plan, improving process efficiencies and enabling sales growth, ensuring safe work environment.
• Lead the site management teams, managing each department including sales, customer service, production, supply chain, scheduling, quality, maintenance, human resources, and safety.
• Engage all levels of the organization to remove waste, creating inventory control with obsolete points.
• Review dashboard data for accuracy, trajectory, improvement, and losses, writing synopsis reports on data shown and plan in place.
• Set clear goals for each department with primary and secondary objectives.
• Reviews analyses of activities, costs, waste, operations, quality, personnel, and forecast data to determine department or division progress toward stated goals and objectives.
• Advance company with certification programs, grants, and other accolades.
• Participates in formulating and administering company policies, directing and coordinating all divisional department activities to develop and implement long-range goals and objectives to meet business and profitability growth objectives.
• Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis.

• Possessing a proven track record in senior management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, strong reporting and presentation skills.
• Can maintain close relationships with suppliers and customers.
• Able to provide guidance, direction, goals, feedback, discipline and delegate authority
• Advanced team-building & people management skills, strong interpersonal skill
• Previous experience leading teams in manufacturing operations.
• Multi-site operations responsibilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and display flexibility
• A keen sense of urgency, adaptability, and accountability to strive for excellence
• Strong interpersonal skills - is assertive and still viewed as approachable; deals with sensitive issues with finesse
• Demonstrated high level of responsiveness in communication with employees of all levels and other external constituents
