Lamplighters preschool is looking to hire a director to direct our growing school in Royal Oak, Michigan.
Lamplighters Preschool is Reggio inspired Jewish Preschool with 30 students and 3 classrooms at the moment. We are expecting an enrollment of 45 children for the upcoming school year.
The preschool is a division of Chabad of Royal Oak, directed by the shluchim, Rabbi Moishie and Mushky Glitsenstein. Chabad of Royal Oak was established in 2018 and the preschool was opened in the fall of 2021.
This job would be a good fit for someone who is:
Great at relationship building
Loves young children
Passionate about early childhood education
Rolls with the punches
Has great management skills
Responsibilities include:
Parent communication
Teacher support
Licensing
First year - 3 mornings of teaching
Staff appreciation
Curriculum mapping and follow through
Registration
Hiring staff
Preschool programming
Royal Oak is located in close proximity to Oak Park, a city with a Chabad community with chassidishe chinuch for both girls and boys, kosher food and affordable housing.
There are many opportunities in the Chabad mosdos for the spouse.
This job would be ideal for a couple that the husband has a remote job or is looking to invest in chinuch.
