Joburg Meats is a dried meat processing facility in New Haven Connecticut. We are committed to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement within our workforce. We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented and safety conscious Plant Manager to bring on board.
The ideal candidate has experience working within a USDA Food manufacturing facility with advanced leadership and managerial abilities.
RESPONSIBILITES:
• Ability to manage, motivate, schedule and train employees.
• Ensure plant cleanliness following all USDA established procedures.
• Utilized and maintain equipment in proper working order.
• Maintain and organize records with meticulous accuracy.
• Understand and follow all USDA regulations.
• Train staff in proper techniques and food safety protocols and standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to multi-task, delegate, review and adjust employee work schedules.
• 2+ years of managerial experience.
• Champions quality and safety; defines and upholds standards and values always modeling these behaviors for the department.
• Knowledge of and demonstrated compliance to HACCP, quality assurance systems and procedures, and regulatory health, safety, and food standards.
• Able to effectively handle the stress, pace, and demands of a food production line.
Bonus
• Experience in Production of curated charcuterie meat production.
• Working knowledge of SQF food safety requirements.
