The Jewish Community Council of Greater Coney Island is seeking a highly organized and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Older Adult Center kosher kitchen.
The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of kosher standards and be able to ensure that all food preparation and handling practices meet these requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise the preparation and serving of kosher meals
• Ensure all kitchen staff are trained in kosher food preparation and handling techniques
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment
• Order and maintain inventory of kosher food products and supplies
• Develop and implement menus that meet dietary requirements
• Coordinate with catering companies to ensure standards are met
Requirements:
• Knowledge of kosher dietary laws and practices (a must)
• Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
Location: Kings Highway in Brooklyn, NY
Schedule:8:30am to 2:30pm, Monday-Friday
Salary: $25 per hour
