After a few of the 154 Bochurim who recently arrived in Crown Heights to study in 770 have tested positive for COVID 19 this week, Iggud Talmidei Hakvutzah, which organized a quarantine stay for the bochurim in Connecticut, took a series of immediate steps, they said.
As reported on COLlive, the bochurim did not remain for the full amount of time in quarantine as recommended by Dr. Eli Rosen and the Gedalia Society, and traveled to Crown Heights after less than the required two weeks.
They traveled to Crown Heights, and had been spending time at the main shul of 770 learning, davening and joining in Farbrengens, together with local residents.
This week, a few of the bochurim have received positive COVID test results, the Iggud said, and said they are working within Dr. Rosen’s guidelines who is now “monitoring the situation closely.”
“As directed by the Doctor, we instructed all of the bochurim to leave 770 immediately,” the Iggud said. “We also explained to all the bochurim the importance of their cooperation.”
The bochurim are not leaving their apartments and they use masks in the davening rooms which have been organized in the apartments, the Iggud said.
In addition, any bochur who has symptoms or has tested positive for Covid-19 was moved to a remote facility with a dining room, mikva, and a shul, the Iggud said.
why are they not covering their noses with the mask!

Why should such an untrustworthy bunch ever be granted semichah anyway (which is supposedly why they are here in the first place!)? They all need to seek another line of study or… Read more »
