Crown Heights’ Newest Bagel Shop Resembles Israeli Cafe

A new bagel shop has opened in Crown Heights, servicing an area of the neighborhood that has had few restaurant options.

Albany Bagel, located at 513 Albany Avenue across from Lefferts Park, opened just a few months ago and already its customers are raving about its homey atmosphere and superb customer service.

Though small in size, the shop offers a wide variety of dishes, including a traditional Israeli breakfast that includes a spread of cheeses and dips, the type one might find at an Israeli cafe in Yerushalayim or Tzfas.

Rest assured, you won’t be leaving Albany Bagel thirsty as their menu includes no less than 10 cold and hot drinks respectively, from smoothies to lattes and ice coffees to French vanilla.

“We want our customers to feel like family,” said owner Nadav Hadad. “Whether on their way to or from work, they can expect friendly and efficient service and fresh, delicious food.”

When Hadad says fresh, he means it. Pastries and baked goods are baked on-site every few hours allowing for the delightful possibility that an item taken off the shelf may still feel warm from the oven it was baked in just moments before.
