A meet and greet event for New York Mayoral candidate Eric Adams took place Thursday night, hosted by Schneur Minsky, Avi Lesches and Roger Archibald, at the new Bourbon and Bass Restaurant in Brooklyn. The event brought together various individuals from across the city to discuss their concerns with the soon-to-be mayor.
Community activist Rabbi Dudi Farkash, who introduced Mr. Adams, highlighted how Crown Heights led the way in initially endorsing Adams as their candidate in the primary, and then leading again borough-wide with voter turnout on election day.
This is all thanks to the efforts made by a coalition of individuals like Minsky, Yaacov Behrman, Rabbi Lazer Avtzon, Yossi Hershkop, Shlomie Hecht, Avi Lesches, and the local schools and community leaders.
Farkash also acknowledged Mr. Sam Domb and Mr. Alon Chadad for all their efforts in rallying the business community to support Adams, the current Brooklyn Borough President, in his bid for mayor.
Adams discussed some of his plans on how he would run the city as mayor. For example, he would support the NYPD, but at the same time hold them to account should an officer do something that is not within the department’s guidelines.
City agencies have failed the citizens of New York City, Adams said, and detailed plans on changing that by holding these agencies to task in accounting for how many businesses they helped and opened on a daily basis.
In addition, Adams discussed how he would work with developers and the real estate industry. After all, many landlords are small-time entrepreneurs who, over the years, have become somewhat vilified in the city.
Adams said he would look to change that by helping them, and at the same time ask them to help him by giving back to their city and their local communities.
Participants left the evening hopeful that a new day is coming for New York City and its future, and to do so, Adams asked the crowd to unite and help elect him as the next mayor of New York.
Keep up the good work!!!
Go go Menachem light! Best in the HOUSE!
Did anyone ask him why he will be mandating covid vaccinations for children of according to cdc they are not superspreaders?
That question demonstrates exactly what is wrong with the mentality! We are ALL his constituents. WE can contact his office and relay our concerns ourselves! Why are you depending on others? Perhaps for political reasons the can’t or simply won’t!
Hopefully it’s not empty promises. Will these same hosts remind him of his words if he is elected?
IF he is elected for sure he will be

It is very hopeful to see an event where Jewish and Black people mingle together in shalom. Reminds me of the sixties, when that exact coalition worked and walked hand in hand to help secure a new era of civil rights.
