Fleishigs Magazine and AJ Madison hosted a launch party for the highly anticipated new cookbook Totally Kosher by Chanie Apfelbaum, known as blogger ‘Busy in Brooklyn.’
Apfelbaum, a Crown Heights resident and mom of five, wrote her second cookbook based on her experiences creating recipes and food demos for her popular Kosher cooking blog “Busy in Brooklyn.”
Food enthusiasts, bloggers, and friends joined the sold-out event at the AJ Madison Appliance showroom in Boro Park, Brooklyn.
Guests mingled and watched a food demo by Chanie, who prepared Eggplant Carpaccio and Jeweled Hummus, both recipes from her new cookbook. They then enjoyed a selection of delicious meat appetizers and desserts.
Food and decor were by event planner Rosie Andrusier and food was by Izzy’s and Bison and Bourbon Restaurants and Fleishigs Test Kitchen, and desserts were by Kayx of Monsey.
The cookbook launch was one of many which have been hosted by Fleishigs Magazine’s Shloimy and Shifra Klein.
“As trendsetters in the kosher community, we love hosting events like these,” says Shloimy Klein. “It’s the perfect shidduch between cookbook authors, clients of ours who are happy to host such events and get the word out to the kosher community, and the Fleishigs and influencer fans who are increasingly looking for new, unique ways to have a good kosher fun night out. Everyone wins – and we are the proud matchmakers!”
