Surveillance footage has captured an unprovoked attack against a 21-year-old Yeshiva student on Friday night in Crown Heights.
The bochur and a friend were heading home to their Yeshiva dorm Friday night at approximately 1:30 am when the incident occurred.
The pair were walking past 1505 Carroll Street near Troy Avenue when a Black male, who appeared to be around 18 years old, approached the bochurim, the victims told COLlive.com.
The assailant punched one of the Bochurim in the face, causing him injury to his nose and bruising on his face.
The victims said the man ran off towards Troy Avenue.
Police and an ambulance were called to treat the victim’s injuries.
Rabbi Chanina Sperlin of the CHJCC told COLlive.com that the police are investigating and hate crimes will be investigating the incident as well.

Why couldn’t both of these bocherim beat the heck out of the guy self defense
Instead of running away .
They must go to learn krav maga
Why can’t you cut out the victim blaming?
It is not victim blaming, it is giving good advice to Jews so that they do not continue to cower in the shtetl.
You may have heard what our sages have said, “al todin es chavercha…”
I know both of these bochrim and they are extremely eidel, there is no way they could have done that
A young man is punched in the face, let’s show show empathy. These Bochurim did not do anything wrong.
I hope the young man has recovered from his physical injury. Is there a name for Tehillim?
Hashem should watch over and provide us!
Keep voting democrat
I admire much the way this young Bochur acted, we need to be bright and not think that violence will stop these people from acting foolish. I hope Hashem blesses him, we have more to gain by walking or running from this kind of situations. What is most important is that these people get prosecuted by the law enforcement.
While this is sad and uncalled for being outside at 1:20am, you need to be cautious. Most crimes happen after midnight, and it is best not to be outside as many meshuganas roam the streets.
Jews must defend themselves and protect their family. Without That Israel would not exist and Jews would still be in shtetls cowering.
