To our dear Chabad community:
Over the past few months, The Space has grown to exceed our wildest dreams and expectations. Every day, there are more young women and teens coming in to enjoy the workspace, Tanya Classes, after school programming, and to find the space they need in the welcoming and warm atmosphere.
Words cannot describe the light that shines on the faces of the girls who walk into The Space. “Wow, this place is so beautiful.” “I cannot believe we get to come here for free!” “I feel so calm just from walking in here”. And, just about every day, we have a wide eyed girl come over to us asking, “Who funds this place?”.
Our response is always honest. “It’s the people who believe that The Space should be a reality, who allow it to exist.” With donations ranging from a few dollars monthly, to larger donations and sponsorships, The Space thrives because of the people who see its value, and know its importance.
It’s not hard to notice the amount of money, time, energy and resources that go into making The Space the experience that it is. When you walk into The Space you are greeted with a spacious and warm venue, art supplies, musical instruments, books, and games. There are full time staff, program directors, and workshops instructors (specializing in creating recreational programs and workshops on diverse and engaging topics) and constant healthy and delicious snacks and drinks.
In addition to everything that is already happening at The Space, we are empowered by the Rebbe to not be content with our achievements. We are in the works to create a mentorship program for teens, a thriving summer program, and much more.
You don’t have to look far to see the need for The Space. The Space is the only running organization in Crown Heights that is enabling the young women and teens of Crown Heights to have the space they need, all hours of the day.
Now, we are turning to you, our dear community, asking you to allow us to continue to make this a reality.
The need for The Space is obvious. Your donations are what allow it to exist.
The Space Fundraiser will be active from Sunday, February 12th until Tuesday, February 14th.
