A Jewish man was assaulted on Tuesday evening by a group of teens as he walked in the heart of Crown Heights in what police are treating as a bias incident.
The man was walking on Union Street between Albany and Kingston Avenues at approximately 6:00 pm when a group of black teenaged males approached him from behind.
One of the males punched the Jewish man in the head, while the other took a video of the attack, police said.
The attackers then ran towards Albany Avenue, and the victim continued walking to 770 Eastern Parkway, where he later called 911.
The investigation was referred to the Hate Crimes unit and is being treated as a bias attack, NYPD said.

When all good Americans celebrate the holidays Xmas or Chanukah, holidays of spreading lights and acts of kindness, some bias criminals are ruining it. It’s unacceptable behavior, who these teenagers, who are their parents and what they are doing in the education institutions? Who teaches them to be a criminal? Why to behave like that on your own holiday evening?
Press charges to their parents as well, maybe they will educate their kids to do something better for the humanity but not anti Semitic attacks on thief holiday eve.

I completely agree with you. However, the fact that this happened on the night of their holiday shouldn’t be relevant. These guys assaulted this man. That is unacceptable at any time, any place. It’s not unacceptable only now that it’s the holiday season.
