Set to resume on Sunday, September 12, Jewish Girls Unite Creative Online Clubs unite girls in grades 2-8 worldwide to socialize, nurture creativity, and explore key Jewish themes.
“We believe in creating a setting for girls to discover their talents and use them to connect with Hashem,” says JGU Global Director and veteran educator Nechama Laber.
Based on one of her popular creative curricula, this year’s Creative Online Club theme, “We Are the World” will introduce two age divisions to the wonders of Hashem’s world and the Jewish year through educational activities and creative expression.
Guided by professional instructors and devoted teen counselors, girls will enjoy art, games, songs, discussion, drama, fitness, debate, writing, culinary arts, and more.
The program also includes:
-
a monthly book club to explore Jewish values and the majesty of the Jewish spirit with young protagonists of historical fiction titles;
-
a monthly Shining Stars program to honor young leaders who are positive role models and use their gifts to elevate their families, communities, or world.
The first Shining Star of the new Jewish and academic year, 17-year-old Eden Levi from Arizona, aspired to fill a spiritual gap pervading her generation: Many individuals’ conceptions of emunah (faith in One G-d) are at times abstract or even intimidating.
Recently published, Eden’s teen-orinted primer on emunah, Spiritual Sunshine, tackles the topic with humor, energy, deep insight, and relevance. Readers join her quest to honestly understand emunah and how to apply it to overcome challenges, master emotions, make the most of life and build “an awesome relationship with G-d.”
Spiritual Sunshine has received praise from intrigued peers to acclaimed authors, lecturers, and spiritual leaders, including Rabbi Lazer Brody and Mrs. Gila Manolson.
Eden’s presentation, including a pitch and preview of Spiritual Sunshine, a live Q&A with the author, and an activity based on the book, will begin at approximately 12:30pm ET, following the start of Creative Online Clubs on Sunday, September 12.
Joining the monthly Shining Stars program is free of charge. In addition, girls are invited to join one program free of charge and no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
The excitement continues with Art & Soul on Sunday (or Motzo’ei Shabbos), offering grades 9-12 authentic connection, Torah-art sessions, and leadership empowerment.

The JGU mission is to empower a global community of Jewish girls and women through creative approaches in education and technology to celebrate their Judaism, grow meaningful connections, and utilize their gifts to lead joyful, balanced, purposeful lives.
