120 shluchim and shluchos along with over 770 Chabad House community members arrived in Israel two weeks ago to participate in JLI’s Land and Spirit Israel Experience. The group, traveling from across the US, Canada, Australia, as well as from Central and South America, is the largest group to visit Israel this year.
Day #7 was a day of options. Participants were able to choose from exciting and meaningful destinations in and around Jerusalem.
Those included looking out at the Temple Mount from atop the Mount of Olives, taking part in a real-life archaeological excavation, visiting the Bible Lands Museum, ascending Masada, floating on the Dead Sea, paying tribute to fallen heroes at the IDF Military Cemetery and Ammunition Hill, visiting Yad Vashem, riding a camel, exploring Qumran, learning about Joshua at a Jericho lookout, or enjoying a culinary tour of the colorful Machane Yehudah Market.
In the evening, the nearly 800 participants attended a Gala Dinner at the Binyanei Hauma convention center in Jerusalem where they watched video highlights of their trip, danced, and heard from U.S. Ambassador David Friedman, Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Mrs. Dini Mangel, and Mrs. Sherri Mandell.
