the lechaim was in the best hall in crown heights. its cozy and antique and adds a special touch to every simcha. i love going to simchas there!

We don’t know each other but I was at the Ohel with my daughters Sunday when you came back into the big tent — there was singing & dancing then too! much nachas, binyan adei ad — mazel tov mazel tov! devorah & girls

To those of us (old geezers) who remember that at every L’Chaim (which in those days was called a Vort) there were really heavy Farbrengens and dancing (as is described by the Frierdiker Rebbe that every Chasidisher Farbrengen includes dancing). Today KA”H there are 5-6 simchas everyday K”Y and the crowd just goes Simcha hopping, so it lost the excitement that accompanied Simchas of old. I think that’s why you wonder what kind of dancing by a L’Chaim. To me these pictures brought back good old memories and some inspiration.
