She invited our family which includes our multiply handicapped child to her childrens’ weddings. It was the first weddings that they attended and there was a lot of excitement for little kids living under the shadow of special needs priorities, family issues, financial problems, etc. She noticed and reached out to us. Then Mrs slater, obm, took photos of us at Leslie’s chasuna to capture the special memories! May their ahavas chinam together being the geula now!

Thank you for sharing

My younger and only sister

I read all the beautiful things everyone has written about her. I couldn’t of had a better person to be my sister and best friend. Her passing is very difficult for me. She was such a trooper with fighting the cancer. Never complaining and always positive. She would say there are a thousand other treatments to try when some didn’t work. Her family was always first and foremost in her life. She was 7yrs younger than me and I was so excited when she was born. Our Dad sneaked me up to see her in the hospital. She always had… Read more »

More than a friend. She’s my sister
November 23, 2018 1:42 pm

I have been blessed to be Leslie’s friend from the time she was 6 years old. Leslie was my neighbor and best friend from our childhood in Coral Gables throughout our lives. I am better for having been enveloped in the love of Leslie. There is no more purer soul on this earth. She loved me entirely and I loved her. Our love and friendship wasn’t conditional. It was a gift from God and she will always be a part of me.

Leslie and David met at our Chabad House at the university of Miami almost 40 years ago. We joined them at their wedding and then shared the good news of her children’s births and simchas. Leslie was given her Jewish name Aliza by the Rebbe, a name which reflected her personality throughout her life. Her faith in HaShem and her deep connection to the Rebbe were always present. Her wonderful husband and children should be blessed with healthy and good long lives. She will be sorely missed. BD”E

If anyone can, Leslie can and will storm the heavens and beseech goodness for her family and Klal Yisroel!!! Leslie had a ready smile and kind words for whoever she met. Always with an optimistic spin on things and brimming with emunah. There are not many like her. A rare, caring and very genuine person. She will be greatly missed. BDE.

BDE Leslie always had an upbeat positive attitude about everything. She was kind and caring, never spoke bad about anyone. Had such Emunah in Hashem, never asked why me. She should be a Malitz Yasher for all klal Yisroel. She will be truly missed. May the family be comforted and may they only know of simchas from here on.
