In honor of Chof Av, yahrtzeit of the Rebbe’s holy father, HoRav Levi Yitzchok, Vaad Or Vechom Hahiskashrus will be hosting two multi-faceted online programs this evening. The webinars will include in-depth shiurim, captivating addresses, and a chassidishe farbrengen.
The first program, for Hebrew speakers, will commence at 7 pm Israel time.
The 2nd program, for English speakers, will take place at 7 pm EST.
On several occasions the Rebbe requested that his father’s yahrtzeit be commemorated by learning about HoRav Levi Yitzchok’s life of self-sacrifice, to inspire action, and by studying from his Torah. To that end, several speakers will examine various aspects of HoRav Levi Yitzchok’s life and teachings.
Two highlights:
Rabbi Mordechai Gorelik lived in Alma Ata, and merited to tend to the holy kever. He will share details about this, and the Rebbe’s detailed interest and appreciation for his efforts.
Rabbi Eli Wolff will discuss Sefer HaToldos of the Rebbe’s father in general, and more specifically, about Horav Levi Yitzchok’s tremendous hiskashrus to his Rebbe, the Rebbe Rashab.
During the last hour of the English program, a farbrengen near the Rebbe’s Ohel will be broadcast addressed by Rabbis Shlomo Zarchi, Nochum Kaplan and Zushe Winner.
