Tears were flowing at the heartbreaking Levaya of Henya Federman obm, the beloved and devoted Shlucha of the Virgin Islands, as it passed by 770 Eastern Parkway on Thursday.
Thousands of Shluchos, who are in New York for the International Kinus Hashluchos, attended the Levaya. The annual Kinus paused its programming of workshops and sessions so Shluchos from around the world could join the Levaya of their sister Shlucha.
Henya Federman, who served alongside her husband Rabbi Asher Federman as the Shlucha to the Virgin Islands for the past 18 years, passed away yesterday at the age of 40.
Henya had been on life support after a terrible accident in November, in an acute care facility in Lakewood, NJ.
She is survived by her husband, Asher Federman, and children Chaya Mushka, Menachem Mendel, Yitzchak Leib, Levi, Shneur Zalman, Chanah, Feigel, Zelda Rochel, Yehudah, Meir Shlomo, Nechama Reizel, and Sheina.
She is also survived by her parents Rabbi Yisroel and Bracha Devorah Shmotkin, Milwaukee, WI head Shluchim of Wisconsin, and siblings: Zalman Shmotkin – Stamford, CT, Shmaya Shmotkin – Detroit, MI, Mendel Shmotkin – Glendale, WI, Elkanah Shmotkin – Brooklyn, NY, Feigel Tenenbaum – Gurnee, IL, Chanie Klein – Eilat, Israel, Levi Shmotkin – New York, NY, Yehuda Shmotkin – Hamilton Heights, NYC, Shmuel Shmotkin – Miami, FL, and Meir Shmotkin – Alameda, CA.

Motzaei Shabbos from 7:00 pm until 11:00 pm.
Sunday, first Shacharis at 8:30 am, followed by Nichum Aveilim until 1:30 pm.
Asher, the Federman children, Shmaya and Meir will be at 14160 Balfour Avenue, Oak Park, MI, Monday and Tuesday.
Yisroel, B. Devorah, Mendel, Feigel and Chanie will be at 227-98 120th Avenue until 6:00 pm on Sunday. At at 2943 North Summit Avenue, Milwaukee Monday and Tuesday from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm.
Feigel will be at 17662 West Gages Lake Road, Gurnee, IL, Tuesday 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Zalman, Elkanah, Levi, Yudi and Shmulie will continue at 227-98 120th Avenue until Monday afternoon at 3:30 pm.
Zalman will be at 15 Francis, Stamford, CT, Monday night 7:00 pm to 12:00 am and Tuesday 9:00 am to 12:00 am.
Elkanah will be at 1546 Union Street, Brooklyn, NY, Monday night 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Tuesday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and 3:30 pm until 11:00 pm.
Levi and Yudi will be at 110 West 26th Street Apt 2F, New York, NY. Monday night from 7:30pm to 10:30pm. Tuesday from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm and 3:30 pm until 10:30 pm.
Shmulie will be at 615 West 42nd Street, Miami Beach, FL, Tuesday all day, and Wednesday morning.

The hashgocho protis how Hashem orchestrated it that so many shluchois from around the world should be able to attend, it’s so obvious and clear and brings one to tears. It’s mamash an open ness.
Hashem please bring the geulah right now and a big nechomo with lots of brochois for the family, especially the kids and her husband and to klal Yisroel.
