Lubavitcher Yeshiva of Crown Heights put on two shows of their annual production Sunday at the New Heights Middle School, performed by the school’s 7th and 8th-grade students.
The drama, song and dance production titled “The Prodigy” transported the audience to the dramatic story of the birth and childhood of the Alter Rebbe – Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi, and his journey to becoming the founder of Chabad Chassidus. The enthralling production was packed with lessons, songs, drama and humor.
It was produced by Rabbi Yossi Teleshevsky and Rabbi Moishy Goldstein.
“The Prodigy” portrayed the story of the Alter Rebbe’s childhood as a gaon and illuy of Torah learning, whose wisdom became known far and wide, amongst Jews and non-Jews alike.
The show was perfectly executed by the young students, who had spent their free time during recess and after Yeshiva for weeks, preparing for the show while expressing their talents and desire to share inspiration with the community.
“The Prodigy” is the sixth year of the “Generation Seven” productions, continuing off the tremendous success of the previous years’ sold-out productions.
