“It’s been so long since I’ve had such a fun night out.”
“I didn’t realize that painting can be so relaxing, so therapeutic.”
Those were just some of the reactions from the women who attended a Yeled V’Yalda – Mother to Mother event.
Mother to Mother is a community organization that pairs up women with other women who can offer guidance, support and friendship. It also offers classes and special events.
The Paint, Sip, Munch event, gave Mother to Mother members a chance to socialize and to eat matzoh and drink wine, as the event was held on Pesach Sheni.
Mrs. Shterna Zirkind taught the message of Pesach Sheni and how it relates to our lives. She explained the uniqueness of this Yomtov and the many lessons we can learn from this day. Everyone was inspired by her words.
The highlight of the evening was the chance to paint your own masterpiece.
Mrs. Chana Kayla Hildeshaim gave a step by step instruction on how to sketch a beautiful drawing of candlesticks. Her clear instructions made the women feel relaxed and unafraid to be creative.
The end results were beautiful, imaginative and colorful.
