On Yud Tes Kislev, over 400 members of the Montreal community gathered in the Yeshivah Zal for a meaningful gala farbrengen. The event was organized a team of Yungeleit and bochurim from Montreal Yeshiva along with a team of 15 waiters.
Rabbi Yisroel Kaplan served as MC and coordinated the program.
Over a gourmet three-course dinner, highlights included pianists prodigy Pinchas Antal and quartet, special musical arrangements of the Nigunim written for the occasion. Even the Mashke was especially produced and labelled for the evening. attendees heard from a diverse range of inspiring speakers.

of St. John, Newfoundland—spoke from the heart about Chassidus, the pintale yid, and modern-day mesiras nefesh. Closing the Formal part of the evening, Rabbi Leibel Kaplan, Rosh Yeshivah, spoke with his trademark humor and depth about how the light of Chassidus illuminates the world.
Following the well-known tradition for Chassidim to repeat the story of the Alter Rebbe’s arrest and liberation every Yud Tes Kislev, haTamim haShliach Yehudah Leib Stall shared the historic tale with clarity and insight. After the official program was over, the buffet and Farbeisein were brought out, and many guests joined spontaneous breakaway farbregnens that continued untill 7am.
