A live chassidic musical farbrengen will be taking place this Tuesday on January 1, marking the 24th of Teves, yartzeit of Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi, the Alter Rebbe and founder of Chabad-Lubavitch.
The evening of “Stories, Songs, and Teachings of the Alter Rebbe” will be presented by Rabbi Shais Taub, the renowned Chassidic lecturer and author who serves as scholar in residence at Chabad of the Five Towns in New York and columnist of AMI magazine.
Leading the musical segment of the farbrengen will be musical artist Eli Marcus, one of the most popular voices in Jewish music. Growing up in the musical Friedman family, he began singing at the age of 3 and has gone on to perform on stages in 5 continents. His new album, “Yogati,” is due to soon be released.
Joining Eli Marcus will also be special musical guests Boruch Sholom, renowned chazan Aryeh Leib Hurwitz and others.
The evening will be broadcast live on Tuesday night from 9:30pm to 12:30am Eastern Time on SoulWords.org and COLlive.com, a co-sponsor of the farbrengen.
