A new and exciting program has been launched this year at the Central Yeshiva at 770 Eastern Parkway, as hundreds of bochurim from the United States and around the world have begun the new year of learning at the Yeshiva this week.
The revolutionary program being offered to the bochurim is a coordinated curriculum on the laws of Hilchos Shabbos.
The program consists of comprehensive lessons on Hilchos Shabbos, in which the bochurim will learn b’chavrusa from the Gemarah through the contemporary poskim. The contemporary poskim have been compiled into specially made booklets to enhance the learning.
The new program is being led by Rabbi Yaakov Gurwitz, who formerly served as a meishiv in the 770 Yeshiva Dayanus Program. He will be coordinating the curriculum and will be in 770 every day from 4 – 7 pm to answer questions as well.
All the bochurim have the option to join the organized learning program, Rabbi Gurwitz told COLlive.com.
Over 30 bochurim have already signed up, he said.
