A new state-of-the-art, modern mikva was opened on Vov Tishrei in Kharkov, Ukraine, and named “Mikva Chana” in honor of the Rebbe’s mother, Rebbetzin Chana.
The guests at the opening were visibly impressed by the beauty of the mikva and were amazed that so much effort had been put in to ensure that the new Kharkov women’s mikva would be of the highest quality and standard.
Shliach Rabbi Moishe Moskovitz told the guests of the importance of the Mikva and spoke of the life of mesiras nefesh of Rebbetzin Chana.
The architect of the mikva, Shmuel Levin, felt a special connection to the project as he himself is a product of the Kharkov Jewish community and now plans mikvas all over the world.
