NYPD top brass and Mayor Eric Adams held a special security briefing for Jewish faith leaders Wednesday afternoon at One Police Plaza in preparation for the High Holy Days.
Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell joined a host of NYPD officials to greet Jewish community members and advise them on protocols heading into the occasions with an annual briefing.
Sewell declared that there are currently no credible threats to synagogues across the city. However, she also said that this does not mean the NYPD will not be working diligently to ensure the community’s safety.

The photo of the slide with “Recent Acts of Violence Targeting Jewish Community” does show recent acts of violence.
HOWEVER, what about the beatings over a parking space, rock throwing, shaitel shooting, etc? Are these not also acts of violence?
It’s almost as if we’re supposed to accept day-to-day uncivilized behavior as acceptable or normal.
THE CURRENT UNSAFE SITUATION IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Smiling photos with food are not the answer. Did all those people in uniform get paid with taxpayer money for this meeting?
