During a musical Kumzitz event on Motzei Shabbos, Oholei Torah surpassed their fundraising goal of $5 million, raising their goal even higher to $6 million.
The lively Kumzitz celebrated the opening of the flagship Chabad yeshiva’s brand new Mesivta building on Remsen Avenue, which opened this year.
The event featured singers Benny Friedman, Eli Marcus, Levy Falkowitz and child star Yidel Treiger, as well as teachers, board members and alumni of the Yeshiva who spoke about the school’s growth and vision, and expressed their appreciation to the school for their dedicated staff.
During the event, the fundraising campaign surpassed $5 million from donors around the world, and is now at $5,670,791.
