Flatbush-based Picntell.com is a popular jewelry and perfume brand run by Chany Rabin.
After a successful community popup Picntell teamed up with singer Mendy J to expand from women’s fragrances to a men’s line, and now a limited selection is available at Crown Drugs on Kingston Ave as well as clothing boutiques around the country.
That was just the beginning, now PICNTELL has joined other Crown Heights-based brands like A Soliani and Jupe with a perfume collection available at the ADdress at American Dream Mall.
Recently, PICNTELL had the grand opening of its very own physical store in Flatbush. “Although we were born online and have a great website and are rolling out virtual try-ons, we wanted a place to touch and smell the jewelry and perfumes,” said Chany Rabin.
From a Baccarat impression scented sugar scrub to costume and fine jewelry, PICNTELL evolved online to accommodate consumers’ varied taste and budget range. With the addition of a physical location, all of those items are now available to try in person under one roof.
Musia Baumgarten worked with PICNTELL to prepare Chanukah gift packages for the members of Shluchos Stronger Together, a support group for Shluchos dealing with mental health conditions.
“Shlomie and Chany Rabin went above and beyond when I reached out to them to purchase products for our packages. They helped curate a thoughtful care package of jewelry and perfume, even going so far as purchasing the chocolate to go with it! The feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Shlomie and Chany really care about our community of Shluchos.”
Shlomie Rabin, who is a chazzan, also helps out in his wife’s business, an increasing trend in female-founded business like Picntell and A Soliani. “I am so proud of my wife’s work and feel it my obligation to support her work in any way I can,” he says.
Chany Rabin says, “working with a spouse is great because I know I have someone I can trust that has my back.”
