Plumber’s Haven Opens Crown Heights Showroom

Since 1940, Crown Heights has grown into a hub of Jewish culture. Established as a core of kosher dining, Jewish art and more, the community now boasts its very own boutique showroom for decorative plumbing and hardware. Plumber’s Haven, located at 516 Empire Boulevard corner of Balfour Street, opened to the public in January of 2021.

Owner Michael Kops and his team of designers are proud to work alongside manufacturers who provide five-star customer service. Customer service is the core value at the shop, explains Kops. “If something goes wrong two years from now, people need to know where to turn,” he says.

Plumber’s Haven is a space for customers to receive guidance and support even years after purchasing a product.

Michael Kops and his business partner, Abraham Feltman, originally opened one of the first e-commerce stores featuring decorative plumbing and hardware in 2006. When the website amassed hordes of requests for assistance in setting up bathrooms and kitchens, the duo decided to open a showroom where they could educate customers.

In 2010, the first Plumber’s Haven showroom debuted in Flatbush. But as more lines were introduced, another expansion became necessary and Crown Heights seemed like the perfect location. “Crown Heights is a central location between Long Island, Manhattan, and Queens,” Kops explains.

By-appointment consultations are available to assist with decorative kitchen and bath fixtures. “We help consumers understand what they need and make the process as easy as possible,” Kops says. “We break it down and give the best service possible.”

In-house designers are readily available to help retail customers outfit kitchens and bathrooms, fixture-by-fixture.

“All of our salespeople are trained to help the customers,” Kops says. “If someone has a tiny bathroom, we will help them find everything from the perfect sized vanity, bathroom fixtures, and tub.”

Plumber’s Haven caters to all budgets and offers bathroom vanities, steam showers, kitchen faucets, cabinet and door hardware, pot fillers, bidets, whirlpools, and much more. The shop includes a large range of styles which cater to every taste spanning from modern to classical and traditional.

Bidets have recently become a very popular item in America, and Plumber’s Haven features the Swiss-made Axent which is one of the first intelligent toilets. This all-in-one bidet features a manual flush which is permissible to use on Shabbos.

Plumber’s Haven also carries a wide range of kitchen faucets including the Water Stone line, and California Faucet. The products are USA-made, feature a life-time warranty, and are built to withstand a busy kitchen. The quality is high, yet the price point remains affordable, they explain.

Another customer favorite is the steam shower. Plumber’s Haven features the luxurious and USA-based Thermasol brand which creates a spa-like experience to help you relax, regenerate, and unwind.

Sought-after brands for vanities include the Madeli and Robern. Plumber’s Haven also features Baldwin and Emtek door hardware.
