The Rebbe only used wine from a closed-covered bottle that was near his chair on the floor in a paper bag. !!!
It was so not בולט that if a person wasn’t standing in back of where the Rebbe was sitting it was totally not noticeable.
I was in that room rosh hashana 1967. Some women would go rosh hashana the 1st night to visit rebbetzin nechama dina to get her bracha and i was taken to see her. I remember she looked like an angel to me all dressed in white. She gave me a bracha to be like the lubbavitcher rebbetzins and named them. I remember the table all set and the dishes sparkling.
