Reb Avrohom Plotkin, a member of the Chabad community in Los Angeles, CA, passed away on Shabbos.
He was 73.
Mr. Plotkin was known as a “Baal-shemske Yid,” a gentle man whose every action was guided by yiras shamayim and love for others. He worked hard for decades running a small business.
Mr. Plotkin was known for even with his modest means, always doing what he could to help others.
He recently fought a ten-week battle with coronavirus. Sadly, he passed away on Shabbos, just days after the wedding of his son, Mendel who is in the middle of Sheva Brochos. He leaves behind a widow and seven children.
During his illness, his family used up all their resources. A fund has been set up by the community to help them get through this difficult time.
He is survived by his wife, Shoshana, and children, Moshe Plotkin, New Paltz, NY, Yaakov Binyomin Plotkin, Crown Heights, Yosef Plotkin, S. Jose CA, Chaim Plotkin, Los Angeles, CA, Mendel Plotkin, Crown Heights, Dina Gordon, Albany NY, and Estie Yusewitz, Encino, CA.
