SUICIDE PREVENTION TALK
Life during a global pandemic isn’t easy, even for the strongest of us.
For those who struggle with mental health on a regular basis, these new circumstances are especially challenging. Chances are you know someone who isn’t coping well, who might be at risk for or is currently struggling with depression, anxiety, or suicidal behavior.
NESHAMOS.ORG has always been an advocate for mental health and has hosted several suicide prevention and awareness sessions over the last few years, but now their services are unfortunately more needed than ever.
“He who saves a single life, it is as though he saved an entire world.” –Sanhedrin 4:5
Whether you:
know someone who is struggling
are a concerned parent
work in chinuch
are simply a community member who cares
…you have the power to change a life.
Join Neshamos and the Gelt Charitable Foundation for an evidence-based suicide prevention and mental health awareness free of charge this week.
The workshop, taught by Mrs. Leigh Loffe, a certified safeTALK trainer and mental health advocate, will equip participants with hands-on tools, knowledge, and awareness to assist those who may be struggling with thoughts of suicide during this unprecedented crisis.
The training will take place via Zoom on Tuesday, May 26, at 8:30 pm.
You can register at Neshamos.org/Suicideprevention
We encourage everyone to attend this important event. Working together as a community, we have the power to literally save lives.
Neshamos.org is grateful to the generous sponsorship of the Gelt Charitable Foundation for making this workshop possible.
We don’t seem to have a program like this in israel, certainly not in English ( targeting Chabadnikim) Can one learn from a recording or would we need a live zoom event that suits israel time?
Hi,
We are happy to offer a course targeted towards the Chabad community in Israel. Feel free to reach out to us at info@geltcharitable.foundation to schedule a training.
