The court case of Rebbetzin Nechama Dina Krinsky, which was scheduled for today in Vilna, has been postponed until March 9th, her family has informed.
After hiring a new lawyer to properly defend the longtime devoted Shlucha, the judge has granted a postponement until after Purim of the case which will determine whether or not she will have to go to prison.
Funds are still needed to support the devoted Shlucha to Vilna, who has dedicated her life to serving the community.
In the following letter, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Raskin of London, UK calls for everyone’s support:
Friday, 6 Shvat, 5783
Re. Chabad of Vilnius, Rabbi and Mrs. Krinsky,
I’m well aware of the amazing work and mesiras nefesh of Rabbi Sholom Ber and Rebbetzin Nechama Dinah Krinsky. For 28 years, they have worked tirelessly for the benefit of the Jewish community in Lita.
Unfortunately, over the years funds were hard to come by and they fell behind in paying taxes. Now, Rebbetzin Nechama Dinah is being accused of intentional planning from the outset to default on taxes and is facing a possible prison sentence.
Please support this urgent cause. Please do all you can to help raise the funds so that b’ezras Hashem the legal fees and taxes debt can be paid so the threat of imprisonment is avoided.
Thank you.
Rabbi L.Y. Raskin

May we hear good news! -Vnahapoch hu!
I believe there is a Gemora that speaks about the concept of a “postponement” in such a case and says that it is a GOOD SIGN because it means that it will keep on being postponed in the future & will eventually just go away. Is anyone familiar with something like this ? I’m sure it would give the family chizuk.
There is such an Inyan connected with Shiva asar bitamuz when the fast is nidche
The expression is בת דינא בטל דינא (a judgment postponed is a judgment cancelled). The more so since it’s postponed to Adar, the month when our mazal is strong. May Hashem help that it be so.
B’ezras Hashem
כל עכבה לטובה and כשנדחה ידחה which will bring to דידן נצח!!
This postponement should lead to a complete nullification of the entire case.
Mrs Krinsky should enjoy total vindication and return to here normal and regular routine in good health and uplifting spirits.
Because we are all davening for you. .
They’re INCREDIBLE shluchim who do incredible work, selflessly and devotedly. And without fanfare. Most people wouldn’t last a week over there!
