Without fail, each time Rabbi Paltiel teaches he is a pure joy to hear and learn from. More important, it is pleasant to accept his guidance and therefore his words are readily heard and are effective. I know that so many feel the same about him, he is as an exceptionally gifted teacher and genuine משפיע, above all -he is so very well liked. Can COL arrange a regularly scheduled video-cast by Rabbi Paltiel (weekly or at-least monthly). Still the Custom

R. Paltiel mentions asking the parents for permission from the parents and how this was a minhag in prior generations in the frum community. In America this was also a custom and among many of the more conservative families it is still the custom to ask the father before proposing to this day.

Rabbi Paltiel makes a very powerful point. But if I may add: Kneeling itself may have two problems 1. To kneel before any person may be a question in halacha. 2 For a boy to do so goes contrary to the idea of a confusion in the roles according to Torah…

I believe the Halachik issue is only with both feet AND hands. Also you kneel in this context only on one leg.
