The Jewish Community Council of Greater Coney Island is seeking an Assistant Director / Case Worker to help oversee all Older Adult Center programs under the general supervision of the Center Director. The role involves supervising staff and volunteers, coordinating educational and recreational activities, and providing case assistance services to the older adult population. The ideal candidate should have experience in record-keeping and statistical reporting to funding sources.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise food and nutritional services
• Plan recreational and educational activities
• Provide information, entitlement counseling, and case assistance
• Assist in the supervision of social services staff
• Recruit, supervise, and coordinate volunteer workers and interns
• Assist in program planning and development
• Manage inventory control and purchasing supplies
• Represent agency in community and interagency activities
• Work with site advisory council
• Substitute for Director in Director's absence
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Experience in record-keeping and statistical reporting to funding sources
• Ability to work with the older adult population and community partners

Location: Kings Highway in Brooklyn, NY
Schedule:8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Thursday, Friday 8:00am-2:00pm
Salary: $50,000-$54,000
