Receivables-based financing company is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to join its growing legal department in NYC.
The successful candidate will:
· Provide legal administrative support to company’s attorneys in their collections efforts.
· Oversee collections efforts from debtors’ account receivable – including communicating with third-party AR and tracking workflow progress.
· Receive calls and handle communications with debtors’ payment processors and account receivables departments to determine status of payments.
· Assist with investigation into debtors’ business relationships, including payment processors and account receivables.
· Generation of legal documents and letters and handling their printing and mailing.
· Assist with the preparation and service of packages of litigation pleadings and other filings from inception of the case to the enforcement of judgments; keep track of and monitor all packages to ensure proper service has been achieved.
· Communicate with debtors and their counsel regarding payoffs and settlements, and monitor receipt of debtor payments;
The ideal candidate will have:
· Excellent verbal communication skills
· Highly organized and strong attention to detail
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
· Takes initiative and is proficient in problem resolution.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of one year of professional office administrative experience, preferably in a law firm environment and an undergraduate degree. The candidate must be proficient in MS Office Word and Excel.

Salary: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
