With the soft opening of the new Major Owens Health & Wellness Center, at the Bedford-Union Armory at 1561 Bedford (between Union and President Streets) in Crown Heights, Chovevei Torah is the first moisad in Crown Heights to take advantage of the facilities.
The bochurim are using the facility’s 3 indoor full-size basketball courts, 3 indoor turf fields, and swimming pool.
All these years he has been a pioneer at taking time every week for an extended period of time for the bochurim to excersise and get out and run around. we use to go to the H.E.S in Canarsie every sunday with the yeshiva to play basketball and use the swimming pool it really was something to look forward to and I was genuinly excited to get back to yeshiva after a shabbos to start the week. I see a theme developing here.
It seems that girls have nowhere to go in CH.
When there isn’t a kosher place to hang out….they find other ways to occupy thier time. This isn’t a new & developing community. What’s the excuse?
