In celebration of its 10-year anniversary, Crown Heights Young Entrepreneurs (CHYE) is proud to announce that the organization is going national.
Launching chapters in partnership with Chabad shuls all over the country, CHYE is expanding well beyond the daled amot of Crown Heights, Brooklyn and even the tristate area.
Recalling the possuk, “אך בעשור… הוא מקרא קודש יהיה לכם,” we all know the number ten is significant in Judaism.
An ambitious national launch to expand the reach of CHYE business mentorship, resources, and workshops, is perhaps the perfect way to kick off the second decade of an organization that helps so many with parnasa.
Through their various services and programs, such as business planning, workshops, and webinars taught by top business leaders, CHYE is known for helping frum entrepreneurs as well as students transitioning from yeshiva or seminary to the working world and people already in the workforce who are making a career change.
Most celebrated of all their activities is CHYE’s acclaimed mentorship program, which provides members with access to mentors who represent the crème de la crème of the business world.
These expert mentors give generously of their time, regularly meeting with CHYE members one-on-one or in small groups to answer their questions and provide sage advice about a variety of pressing business issues, such as fundraising, HR, sales, marketing, and profitability.
Anything a member needs to know, CHYE has someone on call that they can to talk to about it.
Zalman Raskin, a CHYE member and founder/CEO of Fello, had high praise for the mentorship program which has helped him navigate building his successful company.
“It’s extremely helpful to be able to talk to somebody with experience who has ‘been there, done that,’ and who has already gone through what you’re going through now,’” said Raskin. “And, there is something comforting and familiar about getting advice from someone who is not only an expert, but who is also from within your own community.”
Already a resounding success in Crown Heights and the New York area, CHYE’s mentorship program will now be replicated in communities across the country.
Leading the new initiative, Director of CHYE National, Mendy Gansburg, will be working closely with anash shuls around the country to facilitate business education and state-of-the-art mentorship programs for Lubavitch entrepreneurs and job seekers nationwide.
“After doing this for ten years and witnessing the growth and impact it has made on the Crown Heights community, we’re excited to expand and help all of anash beyond Crown Heights,” said CHYE founder, Yehoshua Werde. “And with the hardworking Mendy Gansburg at the helm, I’m confident that CHYE National will be successful.”
Echoing Werde’s enthusiasm, Gansburg said: “We’re excited to unite all of anash into one initiative and help Lubavitchers earn parnasa.”
